Graphic Designer Line of Business- Wealth Management

Equitable, a premier provider of annuity and life insurance products, is seeking a Line of Business Graphic Designer to join our Internal Creative Agency. The incumbent of this role will be responsible for design and execution of effective on-brand, and on-strategy, creative for a range of digital and print assets for the Wealth Management/Association businesses. This position will report to the Line of Business Lead Designer.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Functionally embedded in the Wealth Management/Association marketing team.
• Focus on learning all aspects of the Wealth Management/Association business including products, target audience, goals, best ways to engage, etc.
• Receive design guidance from Sr. Designers and partner with Line of Business Lead Designer to ensure the cohesiveness of all project components.
• Create visual aspects and layouts of marketing materials and infographics that align with specific business line goals.
• Integrate disparate elements of a design such as icons, photographs, illustrations and other creative elements.
• Determine size and arrangement of typography and creative assets while adhering to corporate brand standards.
• Update material with content changes, imagery updates or other production changes.
• Develop print specs, meet production schedules and release files on-time and according to proper processes.
• Meet deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ensure proper processes and procedures are consistently being upheld.
• Effectively communicate with Sr. Designers, Line of Business Lead Designer, Internal Agency Director, Traffic Coordinator and business partners.
• Provide quality customer service to business partners.
• The person who fills this position will also be required to provide daily/weekly project status updates to the Traffic Coordinator and Line of Business Lead Designer.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field.
• 5+ years successful professional design experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong typographical, conceptual and design skills.
• Strong illustrative skills including development of icons and infographics.
• Strong production skills: complete understanding of Mac platform and all Mac-based software applications. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including Flash, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• Basic understanding of PC-based applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong Photoshop retouching and silhouetting skills a plus.
• Complete knowledge of print process including experience attending press approvals.
• Strong people skills.
• Ability to multi-task and be flexible in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Highly organized, self-starter.
• General knowledge of Insurance, Individual Retirement and Financial Services Industry a plus, but not required.
